Israel Railways moves over to Rav Kav!

Attention!

  • According to the instructions of the Ministry of Transport, certain types of railway tickets and discounts may be issued to the holders of Rav Kav cards only: round-trip tickets; "flexible tickets" for 7 and 30 days; discounts for the entitled students and disabled persons.
     
  • The possibility of obtaining various types of railway tickets and discounts depends also on the trip route (the departure station and the destination station).
     
  • Access through the control gates at stations is only possible by means of a valid ticket.

What is Rav Kav?

Personal electronic card that may be charged at the stations' cashiers and used for travelling by either railway or bus.
The card is insured and may be easily reissued if lost, stolen or damaged.

How to charge my card?

Your card may be charged for all existing travel arrangements at automatic ticketing machines located at all railway stations.

Combined railway – bus cards

You may also charge your card with bus travel arrangements.

How much does it cost to obtain a Rav Kav card?
You'll get your first personal Rav Kav card at no cost.
Any additional personal Rav Kav card or an anonymous Rav Kav card should be paid for at the cashiers.

Where do I obtain my card?
At one of the registration desks located at railway stations. These stations and the desks' opening hours are listed above.

How the card issuing is done?
Upon filling a personal data form, you should take a photo of yourself right there at the desk, and your card will be immediately issued to you.
Attention! The issued card is not charged with travel arrangements. Upon receiving it please apply to one of the station's cashiers or use automatic ticketing machines for charging the card with suitable travel arrangements.

When can I receive the ordered card?
You'll receive your card immediately upon completing the issuing procedure.

Why my personal data are needed for a personal Rav Kav card?
A Rav Kav card is personal and cannot be used by, or handed over to, another person.
The personal data allow the customer to obtain all the discounts due to him/her and to restore the insured content (travel arrangements) in case of the card's damage or loss.
An anonymous Rav Kav card may be obtained at a cost.

Should I present my ID card?
An ID card should be presented.

What should I do if my card has been lost or stolen?
Please apply at your earliest convenience to one of the registration desks or to our Customer service center. You'll be issued a new card with restored travel arrangements.

How do I learn whether I am entitled to a discount?
In order to learn about any discounts due to you, please apply to one of the registration desks or to our Customer service center.

How many travel arrangements may be charged on a card?
A card may be charged with up to 8 different travel arrangements.

I've arrived to a railway station but cannot wait for the card to be issued. What should I do?
Buy a paper one-way ticket at no discount.

Is it possible to obtain an anonymous Rav Kav card?
An anonymous Rav Kav card may be obtained at a cost.
An anonymous Rav Kav card entitles its holder to no discounts. Its content is not insured.
